YouTuber Upload Lagu Terbaru The Cranberries Berjudul "Kiss Me"

Suatu sore, Jumat, 30 Oktober 2015, aku dikejutkan dengan penampakan video di Youtube. Ternyata ada lagu baru The Cranberries, karena selama ini aku mengikuti perkembangan band asal irlandia ini mulai tahun 1995 hingga sekarang.

Judul lagunya Kiss Me - The Cranberries, tulis seorang Youtuber yang menamai akunnya Canal de FacyLauchistar. Sontak aku terjungkal tapi di imajinasi saja, karena belum pernah aku mendengarkan lagu Kiss Me dari The Cranberries.

Kuputarlah lagunya, selang beberapa detik kemudian terdengarlah intro suara gitar mirip lagunya Sixpence Non The Richer, dengan iringan suara nyaring gitar 12 senarnya, terdegarlah suara vokalis perempuan menyanyikan lyric ini.

Kiss me out of the bearded barley
Nightly, beside the green, green grass
Swing, swing, swing the spinning step
You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress

Oalah.. Yutuber gemblung..! haha.. asal upload lagu aja nih orang. Yaudahlah, aku dengarkan saja lagunya, sambil membaca beberapa komentar yang meluruskan kesalahan keterangan yang dibikin oleh si Youtuber gemblung itu.

Aneh, ada-ada kelakuan orang membuat strategi agar pemirsa Youtube penasaran. Apalagi penggemar The Cranberries, mereka semua pasti akan berkomentar yang sama, kalau lagu Kiss Me itu bukan The Cranberries, tapi punya Sixpence Non The Richer.

Tapi, lepas dari semua kesalahan Youtuber dengan nama akun yang aneh itu, kupikir ini strategi unik untuk meningkatkan trafik pengunjung chanel Youtube. Bisa untung banyak, dan tak terduga.. haha.. memang, kesalahan itu sesuatu yang indah, dan akan lebih indah jika dimaafkan saja, maklum kalau si Youtuber tidak tahu. Tapi kalau sengaja, ini yang bikin marah kedua belah pihak penggemar masing-masing band.

I think everybody knows who is singing this beautiful piece, credit goes to cranberries but this is a great cover, trying bit too hard to sound like cranberries tho.

Sixpence none the richer, and the cardigans have both done this song, but I'm not sure if cranberries did a version or not but as far as I know they did not.
